BELAJAR ASASI LAW SUSAH?
ASASI UNDANG-UNDANG UITM DENGKIL (SEM 1)
Hi everyone! This is my first entry and this post is going to be both in English and Bahasa Melayu. I am currently studying law in Uitm Dengkil untuk sesi 2019/2020. Basically, Uitm Dengkil ialah pusat asasi which means hanya ada program asasi sahaja dekat situ. Ada 4 program asasi which are Law, Tesl, Science and Engineering.
Okay, kehidupan dekat Dengkil ni memang betul best. Memang takde. Every course has its own "hell thingy" and only student course tu je tahu struggle dia. Well, we all know that those who are enrolling their studies in foundation, they only have short period which is one year (2 semesters). You have no choice but to struggle. Since I am a KPTM law student, I have to struggle a little bit more because KPTM student has no place in Uitm. Unlike PI005 Uitm law student, they have extra privilege whereby they can enroll their degree at Uitm.
Let's put aside the differences for a while, here are some things you need to know for asasi undang-undang Uitm Dengkil. Sem 1 usually after Minggu Destini Siswa (Mds), students akan busy start register Cocuriculum activity, register subjects untuk semester tersebut and class dah start lah sambil2 tu. Banyak je club yang best untuk Law student such as debate club, moot club and etc. I join Film Circle because I think that is the only time I have to relax and watch movies. Law student sekali dapat assignment, you'll never know what rest means.
So, kalau nak tanya subjek mana paling susah, it actually depends dekat student tu dia minat mana. If you are asking me, I am okay with all subjects and my favourite subjects would be Critical Thinking, Legal Research (law035), and Malaysian Legal System (law033). Macam social psychology (law036), I think it is a little bit harder because when you belek the textbook, dia banyak pecahan and you need to read the contains a few times. Tapi, best once dah faham, serious! Soalan exam tu kalau jenis tak sempat buat latihan, soalan objektif law036 tu baca and discuss jawapan dalam manual dengan lecturer. Soalan kadang memang serupa atau iras2.
These are the four law subjects that students will learn throughout the first semester |
The Philippines legislation which is included in my legal research |
Other subject such as Computer Science, it focuses more on basic skills like Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and etc. Benda ni ikut orang, some of my classmates ada yang tak suka sebab dia leceh. Steps yang kene follow tu buat dia jadi leceh but trust me, best je. Kalau dapat Miss Syaqira, memang beruntung sebab Miss Syaqira sporting and friendly. She looks like our age to be honest, she doesn't look like a lecturer at all. Subjek ni bila ada assignment power point perlu buat kad raya ke apa kan, time tu semua tunjuk skill. Contohnya, ada yang buat barcode, QR code and letak lagu raya. Just have fun je time belajar and focus time tutorial, insyaAllah boleh score.
Subjek lain macam Critical Thinking (ELC091) dengan English (ELC080) ni completely beza sikit. For ELC080, it emphasises more on the MUET punya format. Foundation students have to sit for MUET test during semester 1. Kalau ELC091, student akan belajar analisis statement and elements dalam statement tu. For me, I do like it. It tests your analytical thinking and sometimes when you are doing your assignment, I advise you to pick a topic that is controversial because that was what I do. Think out of the box but do not go beyond the limit. Perlu logic. Speak up bila lecturer tanya soalan2 panas or latest news. There was a time when my lecturer asked us about decriminalise marijuana. If you don't even know about it, try to think logically. Then, when you don't really understand about the assignment given, do not hesitate to ask your lecturer.
I think that is all about the subjects during first semester. Apa yang penting is be consistent menuntut ilmu. Jangan lah buat kerja last minit, lagi2 nak settle kan case law. Kalau baca case law sekali je dah faham, kene make sure elaboration time buat written assignment bagus jugak, same goes to presentation. Belajar law memang penat, tipu lah kalau saya cakap saya tak menangis. Banyak kali sebab stress dengan groupmates and macam2. Tapi kene sabar and stay strong. Bila dah submit tu, Allah je tahu perasaan lega and puas hati tu macam mana. Jangan putus asa.

hi! what do you think kalau kita tak pernah terfikir pun nak ambik law, you rasa susah tak nak study? and kalau kita tak minat sejarah kiranya law tak sesuai ka? thank youu!!
ReplyDeletesorry for the late replies btw. Hi! basically sejarah time sekolah ni memang basic gila like law is a new thing tau. Ada ramai je my friends yang tak berapa minat sejarah but still score the exam because most of the subjects tak focus on sejarah sangat. mostly, kene hafal cases. point dia boleh je study kalau awak betul minat and faham time lecturer ajar.
DeleteAssalam, betul ke kalau nk masuk asasi law ni kena atleast 5A keatas masa spm?
ReplyDeleteWaalaikumussalam. Utk requirement masuk asasi law, kalau dulu time i daftar upu mmg 5As and above. Kalau nak kepastian, you may install UPU pocket and tgk latest requirement.
DeleteHi! I've put law uitm as my first choice and law kpm as my 2nd choice but I'm still not sure nak ambil uitm or kpm punya since the kpm punya requirement utk sambung degree dekat u lain is quite high. Any thought? Thank you :))
ReplyDeleteHi! Well, back then when I was applying for law school, I did put uitm as second choice and kptm as third choice. Turned out I got the third choice. About the requirements, yes kptm students need to struggle a lil bit more to get a place in law school during degree. Tapi, you have to know that even though uitm students dah ada place for degree in uitm, they need to struggle as well. They have to pass the iv in order to pursue law. Otherwise, kene go for other courses. But kptm students ada privilege sbb boleh pursue degree dekat Universiti lain and gain more experience dkt tempat berbeza. :)
Deleteomg i love ur writing <3

ReplyDeleteSalam and hi,can students from foundation law(kptm) sambung degree dekat uitm even though they can sambung degree at the other uni?
ReplyDeleteMaybe you had clarified before at the top,I just want to make sure.Tq...
Waalaikumussalam and hi! The answer is yes, sure.
DeleteStudent from law kptm boleh further studies dkt law school uitm untuk degree. But, it all depends on the requirement because if kptm student wants to enroll studies there, they need to obtain cgpa 3.75 and above. Also, they need to pass the iv. The cgpa will be calculated based on the three best law subjects.
Ok tq👍
DeleteHello, nak tanyaa Kat asasi ni mostly Ada Tak yang bukan bumiputeraa,I mean yg Chinese?
ReplyDeletehi saya tolong jawabkan, uitm khas untuk bumiputera sahaja :)
Deletehye, i scored 5A's in my spm, which is the minimum requirements for law foundation :(,but i scored A+ in english, do you think i managed to pass?
ReplyDeleteHi! First of all, congrats for achieving such amazing result. I think with this result, you'll manage to go to law school especially if your sejarah is A as well. Do pray a lot because I believe that you can go to law school, insyaAllah.
Deletethanks! you're so pretty btw hihi
DeleteHye sis, i'm interested in law. Is it possible for KV student to taking law foundation ? and my result was quite excellent.
ReplyDeleteHi! I think yes, you can.
DeleteAs you mentioned that your result was excellent, then you have to look for the requirement to go for law school. If all requirements are fulfilled, your chance to get in there is higher!
Class for students foundation (KPM) and foundation (UiTM) separate or merge
ReplyDeleteHi 👋🏻
DeleteJadual waktu utk both Kpm and Uitm berbeza. So kita takkan join sama. Tetapi, subjek yang you study masih sama.
Sometimes, ada program yg akan combine both courses ni juga mcm competition or exhibition for law students :)
Hye! I want to ask about uitm law requirement, erm if my addmaths E,do i still get the chance to enroll in asasi law?
ReplyDeleteHi there 👋🏻
DeleteFor this question, I am not very sure because last time during my batch, the requirement for addmaths was C and above (if I'm not mistaken). For your batch, I'm not so sure. But, perhaps you can directly ask admin UPU dkt twitter. It might be helpful :)
hi i want to ask math perlu untuk persue law ni ? do we need to excel in certain subject in order to get good grade sebab i dapat tawaran asasi law uitm i tak tahu nak accept ke tak and boleh tak nak pendapat also nasihat from akak?
ReplyDeleteHi afiqah 👋🏻
DeleteBagi akak, paling penting is minat you and niat you. Ramai yg fikir kalau masuk law sebab nak lari dari calculation. Tapi, akak bagitahu ye nnti waktu you masuk sem 2, you still kene belajar Economics. Senang je tak susah pun, trust me.
Dah masuk asasi nanti, kita dah tak tanya spm dulu berapa A semua. Jadi, my advice is trust your heart. It is intellectually challenging. If you ada minat nak belajar law, accept je offer tu. Kalau you ada better plan, go with your plan :)
hi, im asking for my friend, is it true that the life as asasi law student is so busy until you cant hangout with your friends, like so packed until you cant enjoy life?
ReplyDeleteHi 👋🏻
DeleteTbh, nope. I cannot count how many times I went out with friends and went back home every weekend. We are all busy but not to the extent yg mcm busy sangat. It all depends dkt individu tu like if you ada jawatan or mmg active, so mmg busy. Mcm i, i mmg active.
Everytime exam week, mmg i struggle so hard to stay up and spend my times dkt library or bilik bacaan. But, after habis exam, I will enjoy pergi tgk wayang, makan and kayak :)

ReplyDeleteIs it true that English is the first language bila study law?
ReplyDeleteHi 👋🏻
DeleteGenerally, yes English is the main medium when studying law. Lectures and tutorials are held in English. We are encouraged to converse in English with friends and lecturers as well.

ReplyDeleteHi sis...sye dh ditawarkn Untk sambung law foundation d uitm dengkil..tp sye Jenis yg introvert n ssh nk communicate dgn org sekeliling..sesuai ke Kos ni dgn personaliti sye?really need ur opinion as a senior
ReplyDeleteHi 👋🏻
DeleteWhat I'm gonna say is that personality doesn't really determine whether the course tu sesuai ke tak dgn someone. Sebabnya, kawan akak yg introvert sangat2 mostly score je dlm exam. 4 flat? Anugerah akademik? You name it, semua belong to them.
Takpe, trust yourself. Introvert tak bermaksud tak boleh nak confident. You can do it. I doakan everything will be smooth okay! Good luck!
Is it suitable for science stream student to take law course?I do think law is a good course and im really interested in it but i m also think that maybe my way of thinking (which is more to scientific) is really contrast to law course which is more to memorize and read.Could u provide me your opinion senpai :)
ReplyDeleteHi!
DeleteI was a science student back then in high school and most of my friends in law school now are also from mrsm and sbp. It's good to know that you have analysed your pattern of studying.
For me, if you have the passion, and work really hard on something you are passionate about, go trust your gut! But, if you think you might not be able to adapt with something you don't really like, better don't. It's true that reading law requires you to memorize certain provisions. But, understanding one case or the whole story is far more important. It's okay, don't rush and decide for the best. Good luck!
Hi! Apa syarat minimum utk masuk asasi law dkt uitm/uia ya?
ReplyDeleteHi!
Kalau tak silap, matematik tambahan perlu sekurang-kurangya C+. Perubahan syarat kemasukan mungkin akan berlaku mengikut setiap batch tetapi saya rasa tidaklah berubah banyak.
Hi there ;) . I recently started my foundation for law just a week ago . Is it normal to feel scared and worried that i wont be able to carry these subjects? I understand what is being taught in lectures but when i get the assignments i feel anxious because studying law is something new . I still dont have the basic for search for law cases and all that . Is it normal or i'm a slow learner? Hope u reply soon , thanks in advance! <3
ReplyDeleteHi 👋🏻
DeleteDon't worry, okay? It is normal actually. You are just adapting with the environment and lessons, not that you aren't able to do law. I understand that you are still new to all of these but trust me, you gonna adapt with it soon.
My advice to you is that, do not only limit your understanding based on the manual. Go to the library and find the best law books there. You can slowly start reading the law cases from Lexis Nexis or website kehakiman as well and understand why the judgment is made such way and etc.
Good luck!!
Hai saya nak tanya saya lepasan diploma business studies but i minat untuk belajar law dari sekolah rendah tapi takde rezeki but now i rasa macam nak sambung dalam bidang law ni boleh ke? Adakah saya perlu apply untuk masuk asasi ni saya nak mintak pendapat sikit
ReplyDeleteHai!!
DeleteKalau tak silap i, after you graduate from diploma in business studies, you may apply for the law degree. But, kene tengok syarat2 kemasukan student diploma ke degree law mengikut universiti yang dipohon.
Kiranya boleh la sambung dalam bidang law. Tapi nak apply semua under upu kan sekarang. Thank you
DeleteKalau mse degree nak ambil course political science mmg kena ambil asasi law ke? Ade x jln lain sbb mcm susah je law😭
ReplyDeleteHi :)
DeleteTak semestinya. Kalau you masuk matrik or stpm pun, you still boleh go for political science. Kalau masuk diploma pun still boleh go for political science. But to go there, you must achieve all the requirements dulu for that course.
Hi, saya nak tanya. Saya ada degree in business and rasa nak apply law course rather than taking master in business. So, saya kena start from basic ke likes foundation in law?
ReplyDeleteHi there!
DeleteFor this question, I'm not really sure because as far as I know, masters in law (LLM) will be more specific. Cthnya, dalam bidang tertentu seperti corporate law and what not. Kalau law degree(LLB), we learn semua bidang law except for syariah law. Some law school tak buat syariah law together for LLB.
I believe business school is not the same as law school except for some law subjects you are learning. So, I suggest you to make some research about this to have clear answers for your question.
Nk tnya klau saya ambil math and addmath tapi my math je get A and addmath got C boleh ke sambung utk Law ni?
ReplyDeleteHi!! I think boleh je sebab time I dulu admission to foundation in law, addmaths must be at least C+ and above. If I'm not mistaken paling dia tgk is maths dulu then baru addmaths. But to be safe, both subjects tu kene score.
DeleteOther requirements tu nnti kena tengok sama ada dia nak subjek apa yang perlu A and etc.
Anything if you tak sure, nnti time you apply, simply go through the requirements for admissions to enter law school sbb idk if there's any changes time you apply nanti. :)
Nk tnya klau saya ambil math and addmath tapi my math je get A and addmath got C boleh ke sambung utk Law ni?
DeleteAssalamualaikum kak, nak tanya.
Yes semua orang boleh jadi pandai, tapi apa yg industri tgk skrg is your skills juga. Setakat pandai law sahaja, tapi basic microsoft office and to speak/write/read in English well pun tak tahu nnti jdi susah. Law ni banyak cabangnya. Bukan setakat masuk court sahaja, so mmg kene prepare diri dgn banyak skills.
2. Waktu nak apply for degree, kita guna result UPU sem 1 dan result MUET. So, hanya akan tgk 3 best law subjects awak utk memenuhi requirement to enter law school. Tapi mestilah kita kalau boleh nak habis pre law school dgn good result kan.
Anyways, akak ucapkan selamat maju jaya and jangan give up!
Oh, so maknanya boleh kata yang saya kena focus more on law subjects lah untuk masuk degree universiti lain nanti. Yg lain tu saya kena score as if saya nak masuk uitm again? Also, if mid-term test kita punya result mcm so-so (2.00 something), then am I have to repeat the whole semester? Or wait for the final's result also?
DeleteFocus law subjects together with the rest. Dia mcm if you have decided to go for law school, you shouldn't have any problems with reading, hence you must equip yourself with all subjects. Sebabnya you boleh plan nak masuk law school mana time degree tapi jgn terlalu yakin kita takkan dapat our second or third choice. Tapi, kalau you pandai kira2 berapa you perlu score utk certain subjects, lagi better.
DeleteResult 2.00 time mid test ni sebenarnya akak boleh cakap, it's quite risky and you have to struggle a lot utk score time final. Also, kalau you wish to take law degree, make sure result sem 1 utk upu 3.75 and above to be safe. Pasal repeat paper tu, kalau gagal paper tu rasanya kene repeat but tanya lecturer you mcm mana prosedur dia.
do we need to have many general knowledge about politician, current issues that relate to our country and so on to become law students
ReplyDeleteHi!
DeleteIt is best to note that everything happens around us involves law. Hence, before you become a law study, you are encouraged to know the legal system of the country and how the current issues relate to law.
i have a dream to become law student one day but im not so good in english and i have no confidence to english in public even my mind have alots to say,if you were at my place how do you overcome that feeling bcs most of law students are intelligent in englis?really hope you could share yours
ReplyDeleteto speak english *
DeleteHi, nak tanya..
ReplyDelete1.
2. And for the mid sem test, saya dapat 2.5 for 3 subjects. Am i able to pass in my final exam? Boleh ke sampai 3.0 at least?
3. Saya confuse part yang keputusan sem 2 ni. If saya tak perform time sem 1, but sem 2 perform pulak.
Thank you.
Hi!
Delete1. Kalau awak dari law kptm, result UPU 3.00 boleh apply for UM law school, UKM law school and UUM law school. But time awak apply nanti, kene check balik requirements dia sbb takut ada perubahan dari segi pointer.
So itu terpulang pada effort awak juga lah sbb final assessment korang mesti online, hence you shall be able to utilise all the sources utk jawab dgn cemerlang.
3. Utk mohon masuk ke law school, kita akan guna result sem 1 berserta result MUET. Result sem 2 usually boleh guna utk permohonan fasa 2 which is kalau tak silap hanya utk course yg tiada interview.
Jadi awak kene tgk entrance requirements dulu.
Apa2 kalau tak clear, boleh baca latest post saya pasal nak mohon masuk law school. Good luck :)
If my English is not A, it is not possible untuk masuk law foundation ke? Sebab saya memang minat sangat dengan law ni.
ReplyDeleteHi.
DeleteIt's hard for me to say yes or no. So far as I know, one of the requirements to enter foundation in law in uitm is at least A- for English.
But, I think you can still apply and make sure to put it as your first choice. Also, make sure to always check the latest entrance requirements. I believe, you will get the chance to go into law school soon. Good luck!
If highschool i punya aliran is account and perniagaan I still boleh amik course law ke? Cause i baca cmmnt all abt addmaths ... hm
ReplyDeleteIt doesn't matter if you are coming from aliran account as long as you fulfill the entrance requirements untuk masuk law school tu. You kena tahu yg setiap requirements tak sama. Means kalau you dri science stream, dia akan apply requirements lain. Kalau utk student account, nnti dia akan bgi requirements lain, so you kene tgk apa yg university tu nak lah basically.
DeleteBut how abt if my result spm my addmaths is TH ~ can i still take law course?
ReplyDeleteThat, I don't have the answer. You may directly ask the officer in bhgn UPU. You may email them or contact them through twitter.
DeleteHi, kak.. Hmmmm..i Want to ask is it possible for me to apply law course..i got A+ for sejarah.. But for my english hanya dpt B.... Hmmmmmmm
ReplyDeletehi adik!
Also, time letak course di UPU nanti, make sure course and university mana yang adik paling nak pergi, letak as first choice.
hi , can i know if sya tk ambil addmath still blh ke nak ambl kos law ? because law is my favorite
You boleh search requirements untuk masuk law school according to your stream in high school (science stream/ sastera/ accounting etc).
Deletehi sis :> saya student law kptm session 2020/2021, and baru je habis sem 1. kinda scared of my result huhu sebab yelah online class kan and i would say it's very hard for me & my friends cs ada certain things kitaorng still takleh catch up and faham. so nak tanak we have to move to sem 2 juga which i srsly nak score for this sem but idk what to prepare :( cs sem 2 kan subject nya lain, do u have any tips for sem 2? huhu
ReplyDeleteHi!
DeleteDon't worry much okay? You have done your best for sure and now it's your time to pray hard for best result.
Alright, in sem 2 you'll be learning specific law such as contract law, tort, criminal, malaysian legal system and international law. But fret not, bcs they are not that difficult as you'll learn only the surface and basics.
Preparations will be:
1) prepare your mental and physical bcs during odl, once you don't understand about certain topics then you'll face a bigger problem later.
2) for each law subject, try to understand first and not 100% rely on textbook. Get the rough idea first.
3) for international law, read about international issues mainly on human rights issues. Also, get updated with United Nations news.
4) Familiarize yourself with current and political issues in Malaysia to help you understand better in malaysian legal system. Know all the fundamental liberties in Federal Constitution together with the cases.
5) if you and your friends need help, i may consider to prepare free notes and explanation for all subjects in sem 2. But, you have to inform me earlier as I may take some times to prepare it since I do have a lot of other tasks to do.
Hi,I'm an account student but didn't take addmath. Can I persue diploma or foundation in law after taking spm next year?
ReplyDeleteHi! yes, you may apply for foundation in law or diploma. Actually addmaths is not the the main focus here for whoever wishes to study law. What matters the most is whether you have obtained all the requirements to get into law school or not. Well, the requirements are totally different for science stream student and accounting student. I think the basic requirements will remain the same. So, if your result fulfilled all the requirements, you are qualified. But let's say, your result tak lepas certain requirements, just apply. We never know the power of rezeki, right?
Deletehi!kalau dah habis asasi law kat dengkil boleh tak pursue your studies at upsi(nak jadi guru)
ReplyDeleteHi! yes boleh je. Nak sambung degree dalam course apa awak minat pun takpe. The process still sama whereby you still kene apply utk course tu and penting utk awak memenuhi syarat-syarat masuk ke UPSI bgi lepasan asasi.
DeleteHu
ReplyDeleteAssalammualaikum , saya form 5 pro max yang akan ambik spm lagi beberapa lagi hari ni :)
ReplyDeleteSaya nak tanya nak ambik law ni kena ambik stpm dulu ke ( form 6 ) atau mohon je kat upu ?
waalaikumussalam.
Delete1. Ambil STPM then sambung law degree.
2. Masuk Asasi Undang-undang then sambung law degree.
3. Masuk Matrik then sambung law degree.
4. Ambil Diploma then sambung law degree.
5. Ambil A-Levels then sambung law degree.
Salam, saya ade soalan mengenai kemasukan. Saya mengambil SPM ulangan dan nak check samada had umur tak untuk program asasi undang undang atau dia cuma open for lepasan spm berumur 18 tahun. In your opinion, apa lagi option yang sesuai bagi pelajar lanjut usia yang berminat mengambil course law. Harap boleh bantu pakcik ini. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteWaalaikumussalam.
Thanks for the reply and good luck for your future.
DeleteHaii akak ! I need your opinion, if someone not really good to speak in English, do you think they still can take this course? But, they can read and understand English language very well. But , untuk bercakap, dia macam lemah sikit. So how? Btw, thank you!
ReplyDeleteHi!
DeleteAkak rasa boleh je. Bcs they will develop their communication skills slowly especially bila dekat law school. What matters the most is how they practice. If they really wanna pursue this course, just go for it! There'll be specific English subject for both writing and speaking skills.
For example, students will learn how to debate, do forum, persuasive speech etc. Later, they'll gain their confidence to speak in English. Don't worry much, if they wanna go to law school, focus on the requirements first.
Hai sis. saya spm candidate 2020 and saya berminat untuk amik law. saya pelik kenapa akak kata student law kptm berbeza ngn student law uitm ? why kena layanan teruk ke macam mana ?
ReplyDeleteHi!
DeleteTakde istilah layanan teruk ke apa dik hahaha semua sama je. Both PI005 (uitm) and PI007 (kptm) belajar subject sama. Yang beza dia time you nak further law degree nanti.
Kalau PI005, students dh ada quota utk masuk uitm time degree. Sistem dia dipanggil penerapan. So student penerapan akan boleh sambung degree dkt uitm. Tapi, kalau you nak further law degree dkt uitm shah alam but tak lepas entrance requirements, you tak boleh masuk law faculty uitm shah alam. Means kene sambung course lain.
Kalau student PI007, kita tak termasuk dlm penerapan. Means nnti kalau nak sambung law degree boleh apply dkt law school lain. Kalau nak sambung law degree dkt uitm shah alam pun boleh but sem 1 pastikan dpt pointer 3.75 ke atas and muet band 4 ke atas plus lepas interview. Kalau you student kptm, you kene compete dgn student lain tau yg nak masuk law school. Nnti you kene compete dgn students diploma, matrik or asasi course lain.
Tu je beza dia. Belajar still sama dua2 dekat campus dengkil time asasi nnti.
ReplyDeleteWaalaikumussalam and hi!
DeleteYes, students mmg belajar fully in English. Hanya subjek CTU (agama) yang belajar bahasa melayu.
Hi!!! nak tanya if kita dari asasi law uitm but nak further dekat uni lain, possible tak?? you tahu tak macam mana cara dia??? TT
ReplyDeleteHi!
DeleteKalau you student PI005 (uitm), you akan automatically termasuk dalam sistem penerapan. You tak kan apply law degree melalui sistem UPU mcm students PI007 (kptm).
Tapi kalau nak further dekat law school lain, i tak pasti. Sebab semua kawan i dari law uitm mmg direct masuk law school uitm. Actually, it's a bonus kalau dh ada spot for you dkt uitm law school sbb tak ramai law kptm dapat masuk.
Akak law ni ada diploma tk?
ReplyDeleteYes ada. Macam kawan akak skrg dia sambung degree law and sebelum tu dia ambil diploma in administration kalau tak silap. Tapi rasanya banyak je course2 diploma lain yang related to law.
DeleteHai sis , i'm currently waiting for my spm result and madly in love to further my studies in law foundation . So can i put law foundation in my 12 choices for upu but different universities? And do you know which universities offer law Foundation?
ReplyDeletehi there! Yes, of course you must prioritize law as your main choice in UPU. I advice you to make sure choice 1 - 3 filled with law course. There are only 2 universities which offer foundation in law which are UITM Dengkil and Centre of Foundation studies UIA.
DeleteYou may put different universities for each choice as well but prioritize law course if you really wanna get into law school.
Hi akak .
ReplyDeleteSaya nak tanya klu tk ambil addmath / sains tulen still blh apply law ke?
Hi!
DeleteYes, boleh je sambung law even dari aliran sastera/sukan/account etc. Yang penting time mohon, kene pastikan result spm memenuhi requirements masuk law school. Tiada masalah.
Salam kak.. Saya ada mohon asasi law ni dkt upu and I thought that it would be better kalau saya kuasai subjek subjek asasi law ni dgn lebih awal time cuti habis spm ni.. Thank you in advance
ReplyDeleteWaalaikumussalam. Semua buku manual law dkt asasi perlu beli direct dari lecturer sbb ia keluaran khas utk peringkat asasi. But kalau nak start baca2, boleh beli buku Nuraisya Chua Abdullah's book (Malaysian Courts, statutes, cases & contract, tort and criminal law). It's quite thick but it's enough to get basic exposure. It's not too detail but to help you understand basic concept, it helps.
DeleteThen, buy the latest Federal Constitution. You'll be using this from asasi until you become a lawyer. You can get these two books online in shopee or any physical bookstores.
Hi!
ReplyDeletesaya nak tanya pendapat akak. Macam saya, saya bukan jenis orang yg cepat menghafal. So, boleh ke saya nak ambil course ni? TT
Hi!
Semua terpulang dkt awak, kalau rajin study no hal boleh go je.
Hi akak. Saya nak tanya. Saya ade dapat chance untuk interview tesl tapi saya mcm tak minat nak pursue tesl sbb saya tak reti ajar org 😅. Is there any chance untuk saya dapat peluang asasi law kalau saya dh dapt interview tesl sbb ade abg kawan saya kata kalau dh dpt interview tesl mmg confirm jadi budak tesl. Thank you. 😊
ReplyDeleteHi there!
DeleteNak cakap confirm dapat atau tak tesl tu akak pun tak pasti sbb akak tak tahu system pengambilan mcm mana. Tapi my advice is just pergi je dulu iv tesl tu sbb it doesn't necessarily mean you kene ajar orang English. Dia byk cabang bila you dh masuk degree. Kalau nak masuk law degree pun boleh lepas asasi nnti as long as all requirements are fulfilled.
Sbb zaman skrg kalau you dh confirm dapat place for law, baru boleh reject tesl punya offer. Nnti tak dapat dua2 mcm lagi susah kan? So takpe, pergi dulu and slowly kalau tak minat, go for law degree lepas habis asasi. Take it easy and I wish you all the best!!
Assalam kak nk tanye..So law ade 2 kan, law syariah and law civil..in ur opinion, which one is better and which one yg akak amik?
ReplyDeleteWaalaikumussalam. Currently, akak study law degree which is mmg untuk civil law sahaja. Jadi, lepas dh jadi official advocate and solicitor, akak boleh practise as civil/criminal lawyer.
DeleteKalau akak nak jadi shariah lawyer, lepas graduate civil law degree, akak kene ambil diploma shariah Law and Practice. Sbb in Malaysia, we do have different courts for civil and shariah, so license utk shariah pun lain.
If you ask which one is better, tu depends on individu juga. Sbb kalau you can endure another tough year study shariah law, then go ahead.
hello may i ask a few questions? im currently in form 5 and will be taking spm soon, and i really am interested in studying law.
ReplyDeleteuntuk masuk asasi law, subjek spm mana yang perlu score? also, kalau i ambik pure science, will they look at my addmaths result too or just maths? (i tend to flunk my addmaths exam but score my maths so :')
thank u in advance for answering!
Hi! Sorry for the late replies as I have too much on my plate right now.
DeleteI was in science stream too! So, what I can say is that make sure to get A for English, BM, Maths, Sejarah. I think C+ for addmaths is okay but idk if the current requirements changed. You may always check the requirements from the law school website ya!
Hi! Sorry for the late replies as I have too much on my plate right now.

Hi! berminat nak persue asasi LAW. Subject Eng, BM MATH & PI dpt A. Sejarah B and Science subject yg lain addMath, physic, chemistry and Bio dpt C, D dan E. agak2 diterima masuk ke tak?tq.
ReplyDeleteHi!
DeleteSaya nasihatkan supaya awak check requirements terkini untuk masuk law school asasi dengkil. Kalau ikutkan, rasanya lepas utk masuk law school. Kalau lepas dh check requirements and lepas, make sure untuk letak asasi law di 3 pilihan utama.
hai ! just got my spm results and i got 5As for all the subjects teras but i got E for addm and the rest is B. do u think i will pass the requirements in order to persue asasi LAW ?? i really want to continue my study in law but my english is not that good i only get A- in spm. hope u notice and give some advice :)
ReplyDeletehi!
DeleteCongratulations on your achievements and I'm so proud of you! If I look merely based on your subject teras, I think you are qualified to enter asasi law. But, my concern is on your Addmaths because last time, they required for minimum C or C+. So, maybe you could check the requirements first from the website? If you lepas, then go apply for asasi law and put it as the top choice okie!
hi i really wanted to take law so bad but i didnt fullfil one of their requirements which is getting three a's aside from english and math. i already got an a for english and other two subjects, but the requirements for law foundation is to get at least 4a's. do you think i should apply for law foundation during upu or i shouldnt ?
ReplyDeleteIf let's say your result doesn't fulfill all the requirements, you may go for other course first such as asasi tesl. Then, you must score every semester and apply for law degree. There's always a path when there's a will. Or you may opt for private university too such as BAC law school. But, if you have a way to go straight to public university for law school, it will be great!
DeleteHi assalamualaikum akak , saya nak tanya dulu waktu akak isi upu untuk sambung asasi , akak isi apa je and berapa byk akak isi? tq
ReplyDeleteHi waalaikumussalam. Akak mohon 3 pilihan utama tu semua asasi law.
Delete1. Foundation in Law UIA
2. Foundation Law UiTM
3. Foundation in Law KPTM
Then pilihan 4 sampai 12 semua akak letak science or mcm yg akak tak minat tapi requirements dia fulfilled. Alhamdulillah akak dapat pilihan ketiga, foundation in law KPTM in Uitm dengkil.
asalammualaikum kak, saya nak tanya semua exam dlm law school essay ker?
ReplyDeleteWaalaikumussalam. Yes, most of the questions are subjective questions and problem based questions (essay).
DeleteUnless for ELC dgn Introduction to microeconomics je yg ada objectives if I am not mistaken.
Assalamualaikum akak..lets say saya amik law uitm and saya tk lepas iv and all that.Akak kata saya kene sambung other courses.Part ni saya kurg faham skit like what kind of courses? Did they already tetapkan what courses that i have to choose? Did the course that i have to choose based on my cgpa? Can you help me
ReplyDeleteWaalaikumussalam.
Tapi itu time akak and previous batch, sekarang punya system akak tak pasti. So, you kene rujuk yang latest batch or tanya your lecturer
Assalamualaikum kak, saya tanya kalau amik Law kptm boleh sambung degrees
ReplyDeletekat luar negara tak hehe
Waalaikumussalam. Boleh je sambung dkt luar negara. My friend ada yang sambung dkt UK. Tapi you kene ambil test seperti IELTS/TOEFL etc sebagai syarat2 utama dia.
DeleteAssalamualaikum kak, i'm planning to take law but does it has a wide opportunities in the working field?
ReplyDeletewaalaikumussalam. Yes, it does actually.
Deleteif you don't want to be a lawyer or a judge, you can be a law lecturer. You may become a singer (like Yuna, she has law degree from uitm) or a secretary of the company, a politician, a founder of human rights NGO etc. But not under the science field like medic or engineering, it is too different.
The benefit of having a law degree is you do have the knowledge to start everything, a business, a firm, you name it. You know how to do it legally and people may refer to you for law knowledge because not everyone knows about law.
hi, i really need your personal opinion which one is better asasi law kptm or uitm. Hope you can give the best answer i still don't get any answer TT
ReplyDeleteTo be honest, I think both are equal. You learn the same things, you struggle over the same things and if you are lucky enough, you'll meet the same person in law school for law degree.
DeleteTrust me, I do have friends from both kptm and uitm. We do exchange ideas and we do discuss together. If you wanna say Uitm is better than KPTM in terms of the quota for UITM law degree, it is actually the same. Back to the requirements, if you pass, you'll be in the law school for law degree, if not, then no. So, go for any and do your best, trust me!
Slm nk tanya, kalau ambil diploma perakauanan/pengajian perniagaan or any dip yg ikut requirement UA yg serve law school for deg, but dip tu from politeknik primer bukan uni, boleh ke?
ReplyDeleteSorry yang ni saya tak pasti pula. Sebab kebanyakan junior yang saya tahu baru masuk law degree pun dari asasi uitm or matrik or diploma uni.
DeleteSlm nak tnya which one is better law uitm law kpm? Betul ke law uitm kalau nk smbung degree ada iv then kalau x lepas xleh smbung course law eventho pointer cntik? But akk mention pula kalau law kpm kena struggle dpt tmpt nk smbung degree so kinda hard. So sekarang ni saya nak minta nasihat akk mana satu patut saya letak no 1 dlm pilihan upu saya? :)
ReplyDeletehi! I personally think takde mana2 yang better. You usaha, you dapat. And even if you letak kptm as first choice, kalau quota dh penuh, you akan dapat asasi law uitm jugak. Dia depends on system.
Deletestudent kptm kene berebut tempat tu betul sbb kita nak kene mohon banyak law school and kene compete with students matrik dll. Untuk yang student uitm tu, there is one thing I have to clear here. Kalau result cantik, confirm you boleh dapat iv law. Kalau dh dpt iv law, besar kemungkinan mmg you akan sambung law dkt uitm shah alam. Unless, result sem 1 you tak cantik, you perlu apply course lain as your first choice. Klau result dh cantik, confirm2 punya law school tu nak tgk how you bring yourself dlm iv, takkan dia nak lepaskan you.
kalau nak sambung law uitm, score 3.00 or 3.50 (Im not really sure), but kalau nak sambung law uitm and awak dri kptm, score (3.75). So think wise based on you ability okiee.
And bukan uitm law sahaja ada iv, you decide nak sambung law degree dkt um ke ukm ke uia ke, semua law school ada iv. So take note on this. good luck!
hi assalamualaikum i just wanna ask your spm result if its comfortable for u to sahre it because i am not very confident with mine!! and also is there any of your law friends that has low merit marks but successfully got accepted in asasi law?? thank you again!!
ReplyDeleteHi waalaikumussalam!
DeleteI did take 10 subjects for my SPM. The elective subject is the Literature in English (you might not familiar with this because only a few schools in Malaysia allow student to take the ICSE subject).
My result was 6As out of 10.
3A+ for BM, PAI, Sejarah.
2A for maths and Literature in English
A- for English
2B+ for Biology and Chemistry
B for physics
C+ for addmaths.
So far, I'm not very sure if I do have friends who got low merit marks bcs tbh we never discuss about SPM result once we get into university. But as far as I know mostly they did pretty well and even if they got 5As during spm, they are still able to get into law school for their other achievements (cocurricular and staff like debating etc)
one more question!! if ambik law uitm, is it possible to sambung degree overseas??
ReplyDeleteyes. You nak sambung degree overseas, dia tak ikut system Malaysia. You apply through specific website utk study abroad. As long as you know where to apply and ready to fly, go ahead.
DeleteBut, after you habis law degree overseas, balik Malaysia kene buat ujian CLP first. You may google about this.
Assalamualaikum, hello, I just got my spm result n I still berbelah bahagi to choose between business ( which i take on highschool) n law (which my parents suggest it to me) . in your opinion which one is more relevant for me to choose between both business n law ? But at first I decided to take business but then I cant choose since both subjects involving a looottt of reading n memorizing ... help meee :(
ReplyDeleteWaalaikumussalam. If you ask me personally, I will consider to take business. I'm not trying to scare you but once you get into law school for law degree, it's another level of struggles which you can never expect what's going to be. The burden and workloads are stressing me out. But, I did take law because I have passion in law. My heart says to go for law.
DeleteMy sister and my other friends are studying business, they themselves admit that their course is more chill compared to law. So, my advice is to go for what your heart says. It's true that your parents' blessings are important, but it's you who'll be studying. If you think you can handle extreme stress and series of crying days and nights, I welcome you to law school. It's great to have legal knowledge. But, if you think you can't handle it, better don't. But, no worries, you'll be studying business law jugak kalau you study business. Think wise, good luck!
*just to tell you here that reading law isn't just about reading but we do more than reading. We have to think critically, imagine the scene, solve the legal disputes, debating, mooting, and prove to the examiner who's liable and what not.
Hi akak, I'm gonna take my spm this year. I minat nak amik law ni, but I'm not really good to speak in English. Do you think that I still boleh ambil course ni? Tapi I still boleh baca and faham English language... untuk bercakap my grammar still tak betul sangat and I takde confident nak speaking depan orang... Boleh ke saya ambil course ni cuz I really ii minat nak ambil law...
ReplyDeleteHi!
DeleteBoleh je sambung law. Yang penting is try your best untuk dapatkan good result for English sbb tu requirements untuk masuk asasi law. Tak pandai speak in English takpe, as long as you have the initiative to learn and improve your language skills, takde masalah. Belajar betul2 and score SPM okay? Good luck!
Assalamualaikum. Hai! Nak tanya is it possible to continue degree in syariah lepas habis asasi law kpm?
ReplyDeleteHi. I don't think it's possible to do so. Your sijil asasi layak utk sambung law degree (civil) dulu sbb shariah ni it's another branch of law and tak sama dgn civil law.
DeleteHaii, nak tanya.
2. Untuk naikkan CGPA, kene pandai jaga carry marks setiap subject. Focus dulu dkt law subjects, tapi subject lain kene score jugak paling2 B+ or A-.
3. Yes, mmg nnti you daftar pun tarikh ikut course. So, your roommates mmg akan satu course, cuma kelas lain2.
Alhamdulillah.. lega saya dengar sebab saya pun baru dapat tawaran Asasi Law KPM :> insya Allah.. lepas baca post akak rasa semangat sangat. Wish me luck and thank youu <3
Deletehai assalamualaikum ,
ReplyDeletesaya baru dapat offer asasi law kpm in uitm today alhamdulillah, but the thing is law actually bukan dalam study plan saya pun , saya nak study business management and degree similar to that , and saya ada baca yang boleh sambung study in other social science degrees from this asasi, so okay ke if saya accept this offer? or sambung matriks then sambung degree in business ? tapi saya ada jumpa jugak degree courses yang offer double degree in law and business so okay je kan if saya accept?
lagi satu soalan hehe sorry sangat , kalau saya nak study overseas after this foundation , is it like possible or is it incredibly hard to do so?
thank you in advance !!
Waalaikumussalam and hi! Sorry for the late replies because I'm currently in my study week and going to sit for final test.
DeleteYup, habis foundation in law you nak sambung other courses other than law boleh je. Degree tu must be in the same field lah mcm takde tiba2 you apply medic or dentistry bcs it is obviously jauh sgt.
For double degree, yes you may go for it but I'd like to remind you that you must know whether you are able to juggle a lot of stuffs and face extreme stress first? Law degree itself is super duper challenging, i tell you.
In terms of studying abroad, yup you may further your studies abroad but must fulfill all the requirements by the university. As long as you pass the requirements and the IELTS/TOEFL, i think it won't be a big problem! Go apply if you have the opportunity to do so!
hai saya nak tanya, kalau nak masuk law ni memang kena petah bercakap ke? because sometimes bila I cuba bercakap, I macam tergagap sikit padahal dalam otak ada benda nak cakap. tapi saya minat juga nak pursue law ni so macam mana ye? thank you.
ReplyDeleteHi!
DeleteNot really but digalakkan. Kalau you minat law, apply dulu. Once dah dapat offer, you akan develop all important skills termasuk to speak fluently etc. Bcs mmg ada subject yg akan train you to speak and speak! Also, join lah any club yg mmg bgi you chance to interact or speak more. Selagi ada minat, you can do it! Trust me!
hi there! kalau i nak jadi magistrate in the future, do i need to go for law course? i already got tawaran foundation law uitm and i decided to go for it but for my degree do i still need to go for law school as well? to become a magistrate? hope you'll respond to this soon! <3
ReplyDeleteHi there!
DeleteOkay firstly, you must understand that foundation in law is very very basic. You only get to learn the surface of the law.
Actually, to be a magistrate is not an easy journey too. You have to be ready and to be well equiped with legal knowledge. You must know how to apply law. Hence, you must get your law degree and fulfill other requirements.
Law school is where you learn what is real law. If you see on any drama showing magistrate scene and it's so fun, the reality is not the same as what you see in the tv :') but I wish you all the best! Go for law school if you wish to become magistrate.
hii, i got rejected by upu, but i did fullfil the requirements to get into law school. i got 5As with english A, sejarah A+ and the other 3 core subjects. and the rest is B and C only. i think bcs this year is very competitive. i did the rayuan upu thingy and maybe the result will come out this week. do u still think i hv a chance for my rayuan upu to get accepted? bcs i’ve heard orang cakap, it’s easy to get accepted sbb ramai yang tolak upu bcs some of them got scholars
ReplyDeleteHi there! The student intake system by UPU has been so rigid every year. Other than the grades, they also usually look at your extra curriculars involvements. Tbh, I don't even know how the system works too. Regarding being accepted or rejected, I am not the right person to answer this. It always depend on the rezki, luck, and the system. Law can be considered as the high demanding course among students, so like I said, it depends on rezki.
DeleteAnyways, I wish you all the best and may the best thing happens to you sooner or later, insyaAllah.
Assalamualaikum, kalau pelajar Aliran perakaunan nak masuk asasi perundangan boleh tak?
ReplyDeleteWaalaikumussalam hi!
DeleteKalau tak silap, rasanya boleh. Selagi mana awak melepasi requirements yg ditetapkan oleh fakulti law tu, everything shall be fine.
Hello, sorry but I nak tanya between diploma and asasi u prefer mana ya, I'm a SPM candidate and I'd like to set my journey in the uni
ReplyDeleteHi!
DeleteTbh, I can't decide it for you sbb you must know whether you can handle the stress and all first.
For me, I mmg apply for asasi and matrik je lepas spm sbb I nak amik fast track to degree. So now skrg I dh 20 tahun and dah second year degree. Tapi, tak bermaksud diploma tu tak bagus. Sama je cuma kalau you jenis yg mmg boleh hadap stress and nak semua benda laju, go for asasi. But kalau you selesa slow and steady and nak ada masa sikit, go for diploma.

But most importantly is result exam and pass interview session.
ReplyDeleteAssalamualaikum, saya plan nak ambil Asasi Undang-undang after spm, and sambung degree dlm business management... Boleh x macam tuh? Atau mesti ambil law juga?
ReplyDeletewaalaikumussalam. Sorry for the late replies. Saya jawab secara general ya.
DeleteJawapannya ya, boleh. Tak semestinya ambil law untuk degree.
Hi! I just want to ask few questions. I got A for my English and Maths. Secara ringkasnya saya memenuhi kriteria utk masuk asasi law ni. but my cefr level B1 only and I can't describe how interested I am for pursuing in law school. I'm not from pure science class so boleh ke nk ambik civil? Dan ade tak student yg level English mcm saya ni still boleh go dgn law school life? I always wondering how people yg tak berapa fluent speaking eng ni dekat law school. Harapp akak boleh reply tqq!!
ReplyDeleteohh dear, I'm so sorry for overlooking your message. I was swamped with hectic schedules in law school. I still akan reply untuk those yang bakal masuk law school or berminat dengan law okayy! please jangan rasa down or demotivated just because your english isn't good. Semua benda boleh belajar and eventually if you masuk law school, you have no choice but to learn everything in English. If you betul2 minat law, teruskan. Teruskan improve your English juga. Legal profession ni orang selalu akan expect you to be well equipped dengan excellent legal knowledge with good english communication skills. Ada je dekat law school yang tak berapa pandai English but they learn. If you betul nak pursue law, you have to pursue law degree. Untuk pursue law degree, no choice, you kena get minimum band 4 untuk English as a pre-requirement. So long as you improve your speaking skills (which you akan belajar time degree), you boleh survive! trust me! You can do it!
DeleteHai kak Alhamdulillah I got asasi law kpm at uitm dengkil can you give me some tips ...please sumpah takut and overthinking and I want to ask you some questions.. okay seriously I am not good enough in english I just got A- for english and the rest subject are A and A+ is it english hard and become more advance once we're studying in law faculty and how to score 4.0 every Sem I hope you can reply me soon thank you so much kak
ReplyDeleteHi Haziq! I aplogise for taking so long to reply as I just did finish my law degree last month. If I can be very honest, English is the main medium in law school. You will not be answering questions in Malay. And there will be no objective questions - only a two-page question with 4-5 six pages of answers. But trust me, you'll get used to english terms once you do law. It happens naturally, I'd say. Try to challenge yourself like joining debate club or participating in activities that require you to converse in English etc. In asasi, it is possible to score 4.0 every semester provided that you understand the topic very well. Law isn't just about memorising and throwing everything on papers. I am a law graduate and soon a lawyer (insyaAllah), trust me, understand and learn critically when resolving disputes. You only have to memorise the legal principles but what differentiate an A+ student with B- student is how you apply your legal understanding when solving disputes. All the best!!
DeleteHi Kak. Nk tnya sy sedang asasi Tesl. Boleh ker jika sy nak ambil Degree law ya? Thnks u so much akk
